Jesus: The Sword

The bible explicitly speaks against vanity in all its forms. But there is one form that is unforgivable in the sight of God: placing others before him.

Look back at The Ten Commandments in verse 3 of Exodus 20. “Thou shalt have NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME.”

This verse speaks to the things of this earth and man’s habitual tendency to put them before God, whether they be things or people, as was explained in Matthew 10 34-39.

God, who doubles down on his sacred commandment in verse 37 of this scripture, warns us to choose him over our father or mother, son or daughter. And failing to do so automatically means we are “not worthy of HIM."

God sent Jesus to earth to be the perfect sacrifice and atonement for our sins, yes. But he had a second job. To separate the wheat from the tares - to seek out and claim those who were faithful to God from the beginning, and those who would believe after seeing him, from those whose hearts are already hardened against God, his father.

God knows the difference between genuine belief and false advertising, and no amount of spiritual acting, fake devotion, or smokescreen faith will change that.

God has every right to be jealous, after all, he created us, and only asks for our total devotion to him. But humanity, though given the will to choose for themselves, misses the responsibility in such a gift as Free Will. Even though we have the freedom to choose the way we live, the friends we trust, and who or what we love, EVERY DECISION COMES AT A COST to our soul. And some decisions can’t be taken back.

I urge you, brothers and sisters, to choose life with Christ. Because God promised that if we keep our minds stayed on him, he will “keep us in perfect peace.” Those seeking blessings from the Lord are required to place their faith in the Lord.

This type of blessing, known as the reciprocal blessing, is something that man greatly misunderstands and will pay dearly for on the day of judgement. Those who were unfaithful to God, who chose themselves and their lusts over Jesus, will pay with the loss of their souls. It is an unbearable price to pay to die in your sins, not having chosen our heavenly father as your lord and savior from the wrath to come.

Please read Exodus 20:3 and Matthew 10:34-39. Then give your life to Jesus, while you have time, because time, as we know it, is running out.
