Born Again

There is but ONE way to enter heaven.

Do you know what it means to be “born again”? I’m not talking about a physical birth, as a Pharisee named Nicodemus, ruler of the Jews, assumed when he questioned Jesus in John 3.

A man, being fully grown, cannot re-enter the birth canal and return to the earth a better person, worthy of God’s blessing.

Jesus said in verse 5:

5 “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

Now, water implies baptism, the physical representation of the washing away of our sins. But Jesus told him that works (the things a person does to be acknowledged by others) are not enough to get into heaven. These things do not concern Jesus. He looks down from heaven at our SPIRIT - the inner man that, because of sin, is motivated against God. But, if we take time each day to avoid the things of the world, and live in service to Jesus, we please him.

There is one more thing which outshines even this:

We MUST ACCEPT JESUS AS OUR SAVIOR.

Jesus said in the infamous verse 16:

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Through our public (verbal and spiritual) confession of Jesus (claiming him as our savior and source), we not only receive a new life, but are spiritually REBORN - made an entirely new creation in Christ. You no longer identify with the world or its way of thinking. We have a clean slate in life, allowing us to start over.

THEREFORE, JESUS IS OUR ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN.

But don’t take this rebirth for granted. Now that you are a new creation, Satan will do everything in his power to discredit this new life you have. You must maintain it by living as a representative of Christ and denouncing the world.

Give your life to Christ TODAY. The wrath of God is kindled for those who won’t.
